The surgical robotic device is used remotely by surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures including prostatectomies, cardiac valve repair, gynecologic surgical procedures and transoral resection of tumors. The most recent suit filed cites injuries to the patient's ureter and bladder as a result of using this device to perform a hysterectomy. Lawsuits also claim that Intuitive Surgical failed to adequately train surgeons as to the operation of the surgical robot.

"Oh the weather outside is --- AWESOME!" How many times have you heard "I can handle six more weeks of this" today? Groundhog day is usually a more little more nerve wracking. By this point in the Winter Season, we've typically been snowed in, iced in and generally frozen. We BEG Punxsatawney Phil to come out of his burrow bravely and end the terrible winter season. This morning, however, his frightful return doesn't seem nearly as daunting. With such a mild winter, Poor Punxsatawney Phil's prediction doesn't seem to intimidate us as much. Here at DGM&S, however, we feel he should still get the respect he is due. Let us all celebrate Groundhog Day by learning a little more about it's origins!

While most wild groundhogs only live to be six years old, Punxsutawney Phil is said to be over 120 years old. According to www.groundhog.org, there has been only ONE Punxsutawney Phil. All other groundhogs are "imposters" and Phil is the only "true weather forecasting groundhog." He gets his longevity from drinking "a secret recipe groundhog punch." He receives one sip every summer at the Groundhog Picnic and it gives him seven more years of life.

The tradition of Groundhog Day traces its roots back to Candlemas Day in early Europe. Even then, it marked a milestone in the winter and the weather that particular day was regarded with great importance.

According to an old English song:

"If Candlemas be fair and bright,
Come, Winter, have another flight;
If Candlemas brings clouds and rain,
Go Winter, and come not again."

The Roman legions, during the conquest of the northern country, supposedly brought this tradition to the Germans, who quickly picked it up and made it their own. They believed that if the sun came out on Candlemas and local hedgehogs cast shadows as they came out of their dens, that they would endure six more weeks of bad weather, or a "Second Winter."

Pennsylvania's earliest settlers were Germans and they found groundhogs to resemble the hedgehogs of Europe. They determined that the groundhog was a wise and sensible animal and would take the place of the hedgehogs they once looked for on February 2nd.

Here's to six more weeks of mild winter and sunshine! Enjoy the beautiful days of February with long walks and bike rides... and don't forget to thank Phil! Be safe out there, friends.

Play #1: BLOW THE WHISTLE ON TV TIP-OVERS
    • Don't let an unexpected touchdown dance knock over the TV. Overly excited fans are a given on Super Bowl Sunday. Make sure your TV and entertainment center are safely mounted.
    ◦ Verify that furniture is stable on its own. For added security, anchor to the floor or attach all entertainment units, TV stands, bookcases, shelving and bureaus to the wall using appropriate hardware, such as brackets, screws or toggles.
    ◦ Place the TV on sturdy furniture appropriate for its size or on a low-rise base.
    ◦ Push the TV as far back as possible from the front of its stand.
    ◦ Place electrical cords out of a child's reach and teach them not to play with the cords.
    ◦ Remove items that might tempt kids to climb, like toys and remote controls, from the top of the TV and furniture.
    • Don't get called for a penalty by burying extension cords under a rug. Don't "hide" extension cords by running them under carpets or heavy items. The wiring can become worn, overheat and potentially cause a fire. Instead, get a longer cord and route it down the sidelines -- next to the walls and out of high traffic areas. Also, don't use extension cords that are cut or damaged.
    • Illegal formation: don't plug too many cords into an outlet. Read the manufacturer's instructions for the device(s) you will be using on power strips. Plugging in too many products into an outlet or power strip may cause a power outage or a fire.
    • Score a touchdown by buying products that have been tested for safety. Look for the UL Mark on electronics. Products that bear the UL Mark mean representative samples have been tested to UL's rigorous safety standards and found to be free of foreseeable safety hazards.
Play #2: SCORE ONE FOR SAFETY During HalfTime SnackTime
    • Tackle grilling outside. Make sure the designated griller keeps his/her cooking outdoors. Grilling in garages, carports or even inside the house is extremely dangerous. It could not only cause a fire, but also be a risk of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. UL suggests you plan ahead and pre-cook during the pre-game and keep your grill a safe distance (10 feet if possible) from the side of your home.
    • Stand by your pan. Stay in the kitchen while food is cooking. Most fires in the kitchen occur because food is left unattended. If you must leave the kitchen or walk away from the grill to check the score, carry an oven mitt or grilling tongs with you as a reminder that something is cooking.
    • There are no instant replays when using turkey fryers. Be extremely cautious if using a turkey fryer. If not used correctly, this half-time snack-time activity could burn more than just your timeouts. Because turkey fryers pose a number of distinct safety concerns, including burn and fire hazards, UL has decided not to certify any turkey fryers.
Play #3: CHILD-PROOF AND DAD-PROOF FOR A FOOL-PROOF PARTY
    • Create safety zones to control the crowd. Limit the number of people in areas like the kitchen, especially when the stove or oven is in use.
    ◦ Also, use the teams' pre-game stretches as a guide to get down on your hands and knees to search each room for objects or situations that may endanger children who will be at your home. Pay attention to sharp corners and small objects.
    • Adjust the lineup for a fun and safe party for kids. Make your home game day ready for children. If you're rearranging furniture for the party don't block exits with large items in case of an emergency. Pathways should be clear of small toys, throw rugs, electrical cords and other items that could cause children to trip or fall.
    • Get your game face on with water-based face paint. Purchase face paint that is clearly marked "non-toxic" and "water-based." Carefully review the product before buying it, as some face paints may contain small amounts heavy metals like lead and can cause adverse skin reactions, rashes and irritation, even in small amounts. Also, pay close attention to the directions on face paint, specifically where they can be used and how to best remove them.

The Tiger enjoys a good game as much as anybody, but, wants to make sure that all fans enjoy it safely! Let's Play Ball!

Blustery winds, black ice and white out conditions made for a treacherous drive. Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz knows how nerve wracking these driving conditions can be and wants to remind you to slow down! As the wise tortoise once said "Slow and steady wins the race!"

Here are a few other tips for driving in inclement weather conditions

from weather.com

Be aware of vehicles around you. High winds are more problematic for drivers of trucks, buses, recreational vehicles, campers, and drivers who are towing trailers.

Reduce your speed and correct your steering, especially when moving from a protected area to an unprotected area, or when meeting large vehicles.

Wind is often accompanied by heavy rain or winter precipitation. Stay alert for slippery areas.

Decrease your speed and leave yourself plenty of room to stop. You should allow at least three times more space than usual between you and the car in front of you.

Brake gently to avoid skidding. If your wheels start to lock up, ease off the brake.

Turn on your lights to increase your visibility to other motorists.

Keep your lights and windshield clean.

Use low gears to keep traction, especially on hills.

Don't use cruise control or overdrive on icy roads.

Be especially careful on bridges, overpasses and infrequently traveled roads, which will freeze first. Even at temperatures above freezing, if the conditions are wet, you might encounter ice in shady areas or on exposed roadways like bridges.

Don't pass snow plows and sanding trucks. The drivers have limited visibility, and you're likely to find the road in front of them worse than the road behind.

Don't assume your vehicle can handle all conditions. Even four-wheel and front-wheel drive vehicles can encounter trouble on winter roads.

These are great tips to keep in mind and share with other drivers you know. Winter roads can be especially dangerous. Be prepared. If you have been in an auto accident, call The Tiger to discuss your legal rights. We're here for you!

Although the weather outside is far from frightful, we are in the middle of winter. If you haven't prepared yourself and your car for the long cold months ahead, use this thaw as your opportunity. Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz wants to remind you that the best thing you can do for your self and your family when it comes to extreme winter weather is to be ready. The following tips were found on yahoo.com

    • Inspect your battery. Test your car battery to ensure it is strong. If it's nearing the end of its service life, be proactive and replace it.
    • Replace your windshield wipers. Winter is tough on wipers. If they're not clearing the windshield as they once did, sometimes simply cleaning the blade with a window cleaner and paper towel can make a difference.
    • Clear off the snow and ice before driving. If snow has fallen since your car was parked, take the time to thoroughly brush it off the vehicle--including the roof--and scrape any ice from the windows.
    • Accelerate slowly to reduce wheel spin. If starting from a standstill on slick snow or ice, start in second gear if possible so the vehicle is less likely to spin the tires.
    • Reduce your speed and drive smoothly. In slippery conditions, tires lose their grip more easily, affecting ALL aspects of driving: braking, turning, and accelerating.
    • Allow longer braking distances. Plan on starting your braking sooner than you normally would in dry conditions to give yourself extra room, and use more gentle pressure on the brake pedal.
    • Don't lock your wheels when braking. Locked wheels can make the vehicle slide or skid. If you have a vehicle without an antilock braking system (ABS), you may need to gently apply the brakes repeatedly to avoid having them lock up the wheels. If your vehicle has ABS, simply depress the brake pedal firmly, ignore the shattering you might feel, and hold it down.
    • Perform one action at a time when accelerating, braking, and turning. Asking a vehicle to do two things at once--such as braking and turning, or accelerating and turning--can reduce your control. When taking a turn, for instance, slowly apply the brakes before you get to the turn while the vehicle is going straight.
    • Avoid sudden actions when cornering. A sudden maneuver--such as hard braking, a quick turn of the steering wheel, sudden acceleration, or shifting a manual transmission--can upset a vehicle's dynamics when it's taking a turn. In slick conditions, this can cause it to more easily go out of control.
    • Be ready to correct for a slide. Should the rear end of the vehicle begin to slide during a turn, gently let off on the accelerator and turn the steering wheel in the direction of the slide. This will help straighten it out.
    • Don't let four- or all-wheel drive give you a false sense of security. 4WD and AWD systems only provide extra traction when accelerating. They provide no advantage when braking or cornering. And use the above tips no matter what type of vehicle you're driving.
    • Be extra wary of other motorists. They may not be driving as cautiously as you.

Enjoy the warm weather and be prepared for the long cold months ahead! Drive safely, friends.

Time to decide how you will celebrate the New Year. Will you be attending a party? Hosting a party? If you plan on celebrating with a few drinks, keep in mind that last year, the Ohio State Patrol arrested 243 people over the New Year's holiday weekend, up from 152 arrests in 2009 and thirty-eight people died on Ohio roads between Dec. 22 and Dec. 31 in 2010, the highest holiday death toll in at least five years.

Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz wants to remind you that if you plan on drinking, please don't drive. Not only are you risking your own safety, but you are also jeopardizing the safety of fellow motorists. Here are a few tips to keep in mind to help keep your festivities a little more safe this weekend!

If you are hosting a New Year's Eve party, following a few simple rules could prevent a tragedy:

Plan ahead by naming a "designated driver." Make this your responsibility as the host.

Contact a local cab company to provide rides for your guests.

Serve non-alcoholic beverages as an option to your guests.

Stop serving alcohol to your guests several hours before the party ends.

Provide your guests with a place to stay overnight in your home.

If you are attending New Year's Eve parties and celebrations:

If you drink, don't drive.

Plan ahead and always designate a sober driver before the party or celebration begins.

If you are impaired, call a taxi, use mass transit, or get a sober friend or family member to come pick you up.

Or, stay where you are until you are sober.

Take the keys from someone if you think he/she is too impaired to drive.

Whatever your plans may be to ring in the New Year, we hope that you have a fun and safe weekend. Enjoy reflecting over 2011 and let's make 2012 the best year yet!

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

in Legalese -- Author unknown

Whereas, on or about the night prior to Christmas, there did occur at a certain improved piece of real property (hereinafter "the House") a general lack of stirring by all creatures therein, including, but not limited to, a mouse.

A variety of foot apparel, e.g., stocking, socks, etc., had been affixed by and around the chimney in said House in the hope and/or belief that St. Nick a/k/a/ St. Nicholas a/k/a/ Santa Claus (hereinafter "Claus") would arrive at sometime thereafter. The minor residents, i.e. the children, and issues of the aforementioned House were located in their individual beds and were engaged in nocturnal hallucinations, i.e. dreams, wherein vision of confectionery treats, including, but not limited to, candies, nuts and/or sugar plums, did dance, cavort and otherwise appear in said dreams.

Whereupon the party of the first part (sometimes hereinafter referred to as "I"), being the joint-owner in fee simple of the House with the party of the second part (hereinafter "Mama"), and said Mama had retired for a sustained period of sleep. At such time, the parties were clad in various forms of headgear, e.g., kerchief and cap.

Suddenly, and without prior notice or warning, there did occur upon the unimproved real property adjacent and appurtenant to said House, i.e., the lawn, a certain disruption of unknown nature, cause and/or circumstance. The party of the first part did immediately rush to a window in the House to investigate the cause of such disturbance.

At that time, the party of the first part did observe, with some degree of wonder and/or disbelief, a miniature sleigh (hereinafter "the Vehicle") being pulled and/or drawn very rapidly through the air by approximately eight (8) reindeer. The driver of the Vehicle appeared to be and in fact was, the previously referenced Claus. [See Exhibit A]

Said Claus was providing specific direction, instruction and guidance to the approximately eight (8) reindeer and specifically identified the animal co-conspirators by name: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen (hereinafter "the Deer"). (Upon information and belief, it is further asserted that an additional co- conspirator named "Rudolph" may have been involved.)

The party of the first part witnessed Claus, the Vehicle and the Deer intentionally and willfully trespass upon the roofs of several residences located adjacent to and in the vicinity of the House, and noted that the Vehicle was heavily laden with packages, toys and other items of unknown origin or nature. Suddenly, without prior invitation or permission, either express or implied, the Vehicle arrived at the House, and Claus entered said House via the chimney.

Said Claus was clad in a red fur suit, which was partially covered with residue from the chimney, and he carried a large sack containing a portion of the aforementioned packages, toys, and other unknown items. He was smoking what appeared to be tobacco in a small pipe in blatant violation of local ordinances and health regulations.

Claus did not speak, but immediately began to fill the stocking of the minor children, which hung adjacent to the chimney, with toys and other small gifts. (Said items did not, however, constitute "gifts" to said minor pursuant to the applicable provisions of the U.S. Tax Code.)

Upon completion of such task, Claus touched the side of his nose and flew, rose and/or ascended up the chimney of the House to the roof where the Vehicle and Deer waited and/or served as "lookouts." Claus immediately departed for an unknown destination.

However, prior to the departure of the Vehicle, Deer and Claus from said House, the party of the first part did hear Claus state and/or exclaim: "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!" Or words to that effect.

From all of us here at Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz, have a safe & Happy Holiday Weekend!

Is it just me, or is EVERYONE having babies right now? I'm pretty sure that my Christmas list has grown exponentially this year and is full of onesies, blankies, rattles, toys, bottles and a plethora of other cutesy things from the Baby/Toddler section of just about every department store within a 20 mile radius. Now, don't get me wrong- I LOVE shopping for these adorable little ones as much as the next woman, but, now that the kids are starting to migrate over to MY house, I'm beginning to panic. What if the dog doesn't like them? What if that pretty ribbon on the package gets tangled and becomes dangerous? My house is NOT child proofed! Thanks to the otcsafety.org website, however, I'm well on my way to getting my cabinets ready. Tomorrow, we'll tackle other parts of the house!

• Keep medicines and vitamins up and away and out of sight and reach of children. Choose an elevated place that's also cool and dry. Exposing medicines to excess heat and moisture may cause them to lose their effectiveness or even turn toxic before the indicated expiration date. Make sure to put every medicine and vitamin away every time you use them.
    • Lock medicine cabinets or any place where medicines are stored. Toddlers may be able to slide a chair or step stool over to reach a medicine cabinet that's high up, so keeping it locked is a good extra precaution. Don't leave a cabinet unlocked in between retrieving a medicine and putting it back if you're going to leave the cabinet unattended.
    • Keep medicines in their original child-resistant containers. Remember, however, that child-resistant does not mean childproof. Keeping medicines in their original containers helps ensure that you're taking (or giving) the right medication, and the packaging contains important information like correct dosage, expiration dates and guidelines for proper disposal. Should your child accidently ingest medicine, having the original containers on hand will help emergency personnel assess risk since the capacity of the bottle can help them estimate how much of the medicine your child may have taken.
    • Re-lock safety caps on medicine bottles after each use. Do this even if you use the medicine frequently. Avoiding the complications from accidentally ingested medicines is well worth the small inconvenience of having to repeatedly unlock and re-lock bottles.
    • Do not keep medicines in purses or coat pockets, and advise houseguests, especially grandparents, to do the same. Curious children have amazing capabilities of getting into things, and it's easy to lose track of them when entertaining guests. Take the steps necessary to ensure your little explorers won't find anything that can harm them! If visitors must keep the medicines in their bags or purses, make sure they're not left on the floor or low surfaces where kids can reach.
    • Make sure children know that they're not supposed to take medicines without supervision and never refer to medicine as candy. Take extra care with over-the-counter (OTC) medicines for children such as liquid pain and fever relievers. Never let children use empty medicine containers as toys for their doctor kits.
    • Dispose of expired medicine immediately. Check the packaging - the expiration date should be printed clearly on it. I usually tell parents to read the package insert to see if the medicine is safe to flush; if it needs to be dropped off at a "take-back" program (many pharmacies offer these); or mixed with pet litter, cooking oil or dirt to make it undesirable in case it is found in the trash.
    • Be prepared in case of an emergency and know the poison control center helpline (1-800-222-1222 in the U.S). Save it in your mobile phone and post it somewhere visible in the house, preferably near the telephone or with your emergency contact list. Don't forget to make sure babysitters and other caretakers know this number!
    • If you have small children and see them with pills in their hands, always assume they ingested the medicine and call poison control immediately.

With holiday parties and young guests around, these are great pointers for anybody who is hosting or attending a holiday party! The last thing you want to have to do is call poison control in the middle of your gift exchange. Keep those kiddies safe!

They called for the first-ever nationwide ban on driver use of Personal Electronic Devices while operating a motor vehicle on Tuesday and safety advocates responded with overwhelming support! The following instances were included in their press release and only serve to reinforce the sentiment that no text, no email, no phone call is worth a human life.

In 2004, an experienced motorcoach driver, distracted on his hands-free cell phone, failed to move to the center lane and struck the underside of an arched stone bridge on the George Washington Parkway in Alexandria, Virginia. Eleven of the 27 high school students were injured;

In the 2008 collision of a commuter train with a freight train in Chatsworth, California, the commuter train engineer, who had a history of using his cell phone for personal communications while on duty, ran a red signal while texting. That train collided head on with a freight train - killing 25 and injuring dozens;

In 2009, two airline pilots were out of radio communication with air traffic control for more than an hour because they were distracted by their personal laptops. They overflew their destination by more than 100 miles, only realizing their error when a flight attendant inquired about preparing for arrival.

In Philadelphia in 2010, a barge being towed by a tugboat ran over an amphibious "duck" boat in the Delaware River, killing two Hungarian tourists. The tugboat mate failed to maintain a proper lookout due to repeated use of a cell-phone and laptop computer;

In 2010, near Munfordville, Kentucky, a truck-tractor in combination with a 53-foot-long trailer, left its lane, crossed the median and collided with a 15-passenger van. The truck driver failed to maintain control of his vehicle because he was distracted by use of his cell-phone. The accident resulted in 11 fatalities

I recently spent the day shopping with a friend of mine and her two school age children. Her youngest is 4 and her oldest is 7. We met up at her house and after carefully planning out our route for maximum shopping with minimum lines, we loaded up in her four door car. I hopped in the front and was a little surprised when I turned around to see both of her children being belted in to booster seats. I think when my younger sister turned 3 we stopped using a booster seat in our family vehicles. The world of Car Seats and the laws that accompany them are constantly growing in an effort to protect precious cargo. But where did it all begin?

The first instance of a child restraint in a vehicle was in 1898. This early device was little more than a bag with a drawstring that could attach to the car seat. It was really only meant to keep children from getting up or falling off their seats when a car was in motion.

It wasn't until the 1930s that car designers came up with a working model of an infant or child car seat. The seat was designed (once again!) to hold children in place while a vehicle was in motion. It was not designed to keep a child safe in the event of an accident, however, and that is an important point of difference.

Through the 1950's, 60's and 70's, most children rode in the car without even a seat belt let alone (GASP!) a car seat. Often times, children were held in laps, or sat in the back seat and on the back seat floor. When safety seats hit the market in the mid-1960s, they bombed. The only people who bought them were a strict minority of only the most safety-conscious parents. The problem was that people just didn't know enough about them, and it seemed like a useless expense.

Members of the medical community, consumer groups, safety seat manufacturers, and insurance companies among others got together in the 1970's and showed the general public that safety seats for children were a necessary device for keeping their children alive in the case of a collision.

They also managed to convince various levels of governments, and some states started passing laws requiring the use of safety seats for young children. Tennessee was the first state to do so, and between '78 and '85 every single state was to follow suit.

Since then, growing technology and research continues to push for safer and more stringent guidelines and laws regarding child restraints. We've come a long way since the invention of the automobile. Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz knows how important it is to keep your children safe while you're traveling in the car.

Winter months bring lots of wonderful holidays, but they also bring an earlier sun set. For running enthusiasts, this means changing your routine from running in the hot sun to bundling up to run in the chilly night. But, besides earmuffs and gloves, what precautions should you be taking to keep yourself safe while running at night? These safety tips were found on the Nike website!

Brighter is Better
Make sure you can be seen. Avoid dark-colored clothing and opt for bright, high-visibility colors and special workout attire armed with 360-degree retroflective material. The Nike Vapor Flash Jacket, for example, features a laminated face that reflects light back to its source with minimal scattering for high visibility in low light settings--from every angle. For extra precaution, don a headlamp or blinking bike lights.

Hats On
Additionally, wearing a reflective hat will not only increase your visibility to others, but the brim will help also cut down on any blinding glares from headlights and street lamps.

Run Against Traffic
Remember that just because you can see a car doesn't mean its driver can see you. Running against traffic will allow you to spot oncoming vehicles (and vice versa) earlier on. Also, try to make eye contact and acknowledge each driver as a precautionary measure to alert them to your presence, especially when crossing an intersection.

Know Your Routes
Traffic may not be your only danger: potholes and road hazards lurking in the dark could pose a risk as well. Study your courses ahead of time in broad daylight to assess road conditions and make mental notes until they become second nature. Create familiar routes that offer wide lanes, streetlights and safe sidewalks. Also, consider shorter tracks or even indoor alternatives for harsh weather days.

Change It Up
It may sound grim, but potential attackers sometimes study their victims' running routes. Vary your courses enough to avoid repetitive patterns that can be tracked. Some runners even suggest jogging with a key in hand should you need to ward off an attack. Also, let a friend know your route or leave a note at home.

Unplug
While music can energize your run, it's best to avoid wearing headphones at night. Silencing your surroundings diminishes your ability to hear sirens, a car horn, a voice or any other potential hazards you should be aware of.

Safety in Numbers
If possible, run with a buddy or in groups. A pack of reflective, bright-colored runners will be much easier for drivers to see and will leave you far less vulnerable. If anyone gets hurt, backup is a few paces away.

ID/Cellphone
Lastly, always carry your phone and ID with you in case of emergency. It's a simple but critical precaution that could save your life should you sustain an injury on your run. Invest in a waist pack to carry these indispensable essentials.

Be extremely alert. Pedestrian accidents can wreak devastating consequences not only the victim, but the victim's family as well.
Tis the season for decorations! Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, Christmas decor will be flying up faster than a reindeer on a rooftop! But, as we do with so many other frantic seasons, the risk for injury is amplified. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that almost 18,000 people ended up in emergency rooms due to holiday decorating falls. Total injuries are probably close to 2 or 3 times this number. So, Dyer, Garofalo, Mann & Schultz wants to give you some tips to help keep your outdoor decorating safe!

Outdoor decorating

Plan your outdoor holiday lighting ahead of time -- but why? Unless you're using solar-powered lights or new LED lights that draw very little power, you need to map out where to plug in your lights or you run the risk of causing a fire.

Put together your holiday hanging kit, focusing on materials that you can leave up and reuse year after year. Use stainless hooks and screws plus floral wire and plastic cable ties to hang your decorations. Only use extension cords rated for outdoor use.

Save energy using timers to control your holiday lights. Preset them to turn the lights on and more important, turn them off so there's no concern when you're traveling or already in bed.

Keep an eye out for tripping hazards! With family coming and going from your home, make sure that all decorations leave your walkway clear of cords and other decorations!

Make sure your outdoor decor is able to withstand heavy snow and ice. This is Ohio.. make sure your decorations are up to the task and won't become a greater burden or a safety risk!

If you are the Clark Griswold on your block, you probably consider yourself a seasoned pro. However, you should never forget to take the time to assess any and all risks involved with your celebration of lights! Enjoy decorating your home, and remember to do so safely!
